  1. In Reading part 5, question 93, i think the answer to it should be NG instead of Y, since “his fellow countryman” means both Sorenson and Lomborg live in the same country rather than actually work for the same institution. Perhaps I misunderstand something? Please check. I’d appreciate your help. Thanks!

  2. Sr because until now can I cmt on your post. In the reading passage about Lomborg’s book, Question 91, Your answer is Yes but I think It should be Not Given as to the fact that the author stated “The book caused an uproar when published”, which means that the book is sort of sth astounding and astonishing not that the book is in for criticism🙂
Question 73, personally, should be F. Firstly, the rest of the first sentence is suitable with the structure of F. Secondly, look at the last sentence”Cars have helped to drive many corner shops out of business”, which fits the “facilities closing” part of F.
Tks for your time reading this

    1. To your question I can answer right away. The main subject in Sentence F is “Increased mobility”, while in the gap (73), the desired subject we need must refer to man, or human, in order to fits with the verbs ‘traveling, going by car”. Therefore, eliminate F.

  3. Thanks for your post. I get the paper test to practice now. Sorry to trouble you, but how can I get other materials on box.com such as the key for national exam or advanced practice on word formation. I couldn´t dowload them.

    1. In my opinion, we should write: “Unlikely as it may seem for you to believe…” in order not to miss out “you” and “believe” and to avoid ambiguity (It is you who seem unlikely to believe, not somebody else). This way contains 8 words, which I think is not the best choice. However, I guess the examiners will accept the answer “as it may seem to believe”.

  4. The sixth gap of Part1 Listening: “The imprisoned Duke of Orleans is believed to have sent the first Valentine card in the year …….. by writing love poems to his wife.”
The answer is “from his confinement” but I just thought it must be “of 1415”, so I check the transcript and it’s correct.
What are the chances of this being an alternative answer ?
